Kreative Minds Health & Wellness, LLC

Children experience anxiety differently than adults. What may seem like “shyness,” avoidance, stomachaches, or tantrums could actually be signs of deeper emotional distress. At Kreative Minds Health & Wellness, I work closely with children, teens, and their families to understand what’s behind the behavior—and how to help them feel calm, capable, and secure again.

As a solo psychiatric provider, I offer a personalized and thoughtful approach to care. I take the time to listen to your concerns, observe the child’s emotional patterns, and evaluate both psychological and environmental factors. Anxiety can present as:

  • Constant worry about school, family, or social situations
  • Perfectionism or fear of making mistakes
  • Difficulty separating from caregivers
  • Trouble sleeping or frequent nightmares
  • Physical complaints like headaches or stomachaches with no medical cause
  • Avoidance of people, places, or tasks that seem routine for others

Whether your child is struggling with Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Social Anxiety, Separation Anxiety, or panic-like symptoms, I tailor the treatment plan to their unique needs because every child is different, and so is their path to healing.

If medication is recommended, I use the lowest effective dose and continuously monitor how your child is responding. I explain everything clearly and work with you as a team, so you feel supported and informed at every step. For many children, medication can reduce the intensity of symptoms enough to help them re-engage with life, school, and relationships.

Whenever possible, I combine medication with non-pharmacological support like:

  • Behavioral strategies for managing fear or avoidance
  • Tools to support emotional regulation and resilience
  • Parenting guidance for creating supportive routines
  • Referrals to child therapists for play therapy or CBT

What matters most is helping your child feel safe both inside and out. At Kreative Minds, I approach every case with patience, expertise, and deep respect for your family’s experience. With the right support, anxious thoughts don’t have to control your child’s world. Together, we can help them find their courage and their calm.
